She pretends that Homer is her husband in order to meet a requirement (though single persons actually are allowed by the Chinese government to adopt) and goes to China with the Simpsons to pick up Ling Bouvier.
  • On a Clear Day I Can't See My Sister (originally aired March 6, 2005). Lisa and Bart go on a class field trip to the Springfield Glacier, which is now just a puddle; the result, Lisa thinks, of global warming. • There's Something About Marrying (originally aired Feb. 20, 2005). In order to increase tourism, Springfield allows same-sex marriages, thus joining Massachusetts as the only place where homosexual couples can get married. Marge's sister Patty announces that she is a lesbian and that she is getting married to a female golfer.
  • Midnight Rx (originally aired January 16, 2005). Faced with Burns' latest evil scheme - cutting employees' health plans - Homer and Grandpa Simpson go to Canada to get prescription drugs there.
